Studying online with a live teacher is very similar to a traditional classroom, with the ability to share documents, ideas, and ask questions in real-time. Currently, due to COVID and social distancing precautions, our classes are being offered virtually to ensure public safety.
Once it is safe to meet in-person we will inform students of face-to-face class options. Our in-person classes include medicine making and clinical skills techniques and are offered approximately 10 times throughout the course. It is not necessary to attend these classes in-person, as in-person material is recorded and offered online as well.
While we encourage you to join live as often as possible, we understand that life happens. If you miss a session, you can catch up on your own time.
PowerPoint presentations, class materials, and recordings are uploaded to a shared folder on DropBox. Homework assignments and exams will also be uploaded here. We offer one full scholarship applications are due two months before your session starts and several need-based scholarships on a case-by-case basis. Scholarships are for those who are currently out of work, in school full-time, on disability, under the age of 18, or have other financial hardships that prevent them from making the minimum monthly payments.
We ask that all interested students look at their monthly budgets in advance to assess what they can afford. The sustainability of our programs and the ability to offer need-based support is dependent on the majority of students enrolling at the regular tuition rate.
